The Narnia film was shot at Castle Hill. This is near to Arthur’s Pass – about halfway between Christchurch and the West Coast.

Spotted for the first time in Canterbury – quite near to the city. The farmer described the clear advantages of these hybrid animals: “With two mouths they can eat twice as fast. As well as that the grass has nowhere to go – so they just get bigger and bigger”.
